Everyone can’t be like Jay-Z, who had “a cousin in customs that get sh*t through…”—just ask the South American Man Busted at Airport for 30K Worth of Cocaine In His Sneakers (SMH). Among the pairs of illegal kicks were some fresh Nikes and Asics running shoes strategically but unsuccessfully secured for a trip he’ll have to miss. At the rate ‘transporters’ are trying to be more creative, airport security will only be getting worse (SMH)!!!

These ain’t Nike’s or any other Air Jordan’s you might be used to, but sneakers MJ wore during his freshman year at UNC fetched about $33,000 at auction this week. The sky blue Converse to match the UNC colors were auctioned off this week along with other sports collectibles. How many pairs of Jordan’s have you ever heard sell for this much? By now the sneakers obviously aren’t in great shape, but Michael did sign them and for being 30 years old they actually don’t look too bad. Definitely a nice piece of sports history to own. Charles Jennings, an employee of cargo transportation company Intermodal Cartage Group was trying to have a big come up for the holidays but it blew up in his face. He stole a truck that was full of 7,500 pairs of Lebron 12’s, retail valued at about $1.5 million! He got away with it for a little while because he actually stole the truck in November but it came crashing down. Intermodal Cartage Group reported that the truck was missing, and when a tip of its whereabouts was confirmed, the Memphis Auto Cargo Task Force which includes the FBI office swung into action to recover the vehicle and arrest Jennings on Nov. 14. When they found him he had already sold 700 pairs on his own.
