Chance the Rapper and Spike Lee have been going toe to toe for a while now over the whole Chi-raq drama. Chance has just took to Twitter to come back at Spike Lee. Lee recently did a Q & A session at Northwestern University in Evanston where he spoke on the Chi-raq beef and even went a little too far when he joked about King Louie’s shooting that almost left him dead.

King Louie has took to Twitter to rip Spike Lee after he made a joke out of Louie’s most recent shooting. Just a few months ago, King Louie was shot in his head. While doing a Q & A session at Northwestern University in Evanston, Lee spoke on all the rappers who had something negative to say about his film “Chi-raq.”

In a brand new radio ad legendary director Spike Lee announced his support for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. The ad took to airwaves on Tuesday (February 22), just days before Sanders faces off with Hilary Clinton at the South Carolina Democratic primary. “Wake up, South Carolina!” Lee says, “This is your dude, Spike Lee. And you know that I know that you know that the system is rigged! For too long, we’ve given our votes to corporate puppets. Sold the okie-doke. 99 percent of Americans were hurt by the Great Recession of 2008, and many are still recovering.” He then goes on to touch on Sanders history supporting civil rights issues, which were recently brought to light through a photo of the Vermont Senator being arrested while protesting in 1963. Lee wraps up the ad saying, “That’s why I am officially endorsing my brother, Bernie Sanders,” concluding, “When Bernie gets into the White House, he will do the right thing! Take a listen below.

Spike Lee appeared on ‘Good Morning America’ to correct the media about all the reports that he was calling for a boycott of the Oscars. Earlier this week Spike Lee posted a statement saying he will not be attending this year’s Academy Awards after slamming the Academy for their lack of diversity. Spike Lee explained “Here’s the thing. I have never used the word boycott,” he continued, “All I said was my beautiful wife Tonya, we’re not coming. That’s it, then I gave the reasons, so I never used the word boycott.” Read more below.

“#OscarsSoWhite… Again,” is the phrase Spike Lee used to open up his critical attack on the Academy. In a strategically planned Instagram rant, Lee revealed he will be joining other actors like Jada Pinkett Smith and boycotting this year’s Oscars.
