You may remember Wale’s “Groundhog Day”, released back in December, which served as a response to J. Cole’s “False Prophets”. The MMG rapper decided to take the track and create an extended spoken word version.


T.I.’s Spoken Word Poem Calls Out Black Lives Activists

Over the last few years we have witnessed numerous amount of killings as a result of police brutality in the African America community, which is the reason why the Black Lives Matter movement was started. On October 3rd, TV One aired the Triumph Awards and T.I. performed a surprise spoken word titled “United We Stand.” He showed his support and also expressed that social media is the only place where people are taking action. (Video) Is Kanye West Planning To Release A 24-Hour Long Spoken Word Album?

Kanye West is one of the most mysterious and spontaneous artists in the industry. He always seems to be cooking up something new for our listening pleasures, never ceasing to “wow” his audience. However according to Contact Music, the newest word on the street is that Yeezy has an upcoming spoken-word album in the works that’s a total of 180 minutes in length. Other news sources are saying that the album will be released on vinyl with a special version available for download with 24 hours worth of material. SHEESH! A source revealed, “Kanye likes to push the boundaries and thinks this is very groundbreaking. He’s hoping it’ll win him a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album.” We got a taste of Ye’s talent back in the day on Def Jam Poetry and I don’t know about you all, but this project is most DEFINITELY something worth checking out if it’s really true. From his extreme rants to becoming a new daddy, I’m sure he has tons of things to talk about to catch our attention.
