Hopefully by now, you’ve heard of Diana Nyad. She now holds the record as the only woman to swim the distance: 110 miles. But she not only credits her will and consistency, but a few other things as well. Check them out after the jump.
Babies That Are Too Young Too Crawl, But Can Swim!
This is not only hard to believe, but truly incredible to know that these twin babies are capable of swimming. They are too young to crawl, but can swim about 82 feet! I wonder how they’re abilities were even discovered by the parents, did they just want to see if they’re kids can swim without floaties? Were they that fearless or that careless? 62-Year-Old Woman’s 2nd Attempt to Swim From Cuba to Florida Fails
Marathon swimmer Diana Nyad spent more than 40 hours in the shark-filled waters between Cuba and the Florida Keys, climbing into a boat only to be treated for searing welts left by Portuguese man o’ war stings.
