(Photos) Guess Who Hit The Studio With Lil Wayne For A ‘Carter V’ Session

We’ve seen a lot of photos in videos leading up to the release of the Carter V, making everyone even more anxious. Recently Weezy was in the studio with Mannie Fresh, possibly putting something together for the upcoming album. We also heard the dope single “Believe Me” featuring Drake. Aside from music, Lil Wayne accompanied Mayweather into the ring recently, which also led into some footage of Weezy trying to fight Marcos Maidana and his crew post-fight with Mayweather?! Not sure what Weezy’s up to, but he’s definitely getting the attention he might be looking for! But the most recent studio time we’ve seen photos from is Wayne and Jeremih.. and this one could DEFINITELY call for a dope track. Only making the wait for the Carter V even more anticipating… Hit the gallery for more pics.

(Video) And The Push Backs Begin: Lil Wayne’s ‘Carter V’ No Longer Coming Out On May 5th

Not too long ago, Drake announced on stage that Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated Carter V (what’s set to be his ‘last’ album) would be released on May 5th. Though we know it’s definitely in the works, we may have to wait a bit longer. With no further information given, Tune’s longtime manager Cortez Bryant said in a new interview that May 5th will NOT be the day we get our hands on Tha Carter V. HOWEVER – the guys have previously sort of alluded to a surprise release…so could that be the case? Hmm!

(Video) Elliott Wilson’s CRWN: Lil Wayne [Episode 1]

South by South West was more than just artists performing. Elliott Wilson took interviews a step further as he seized the opportunity to do a SXSW themed CRWN. Guest of honor, Lil Wayne! Wilson talks Kanye West, Jay Z, Tha Carter V possibly being the last album with the Young Money front-runner. That’s what they all say, until they get the rap itch again. Check out the dope interview down bottom.

Could Lil Wayne Really Be Retiring Soon?

Is retirement in Lil Wayne’s near future? Quite possibly! For some time, and most recently during his sit-down on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Weezy has said that Tha Carter V would be his last album before retiring. However, he’s also said that before then, he’d be releasing an album with Birdman and other projects with his crew. It looks like that may have changed, though. Over the weekend, Cash Money’s Senior VP Mel Smith sent out a tweet (in the gallery) promising new music from C5 would be released soon. If Wayne sticks to his plan, this could definitely mean retirement is coming much sooner than later! What will the game be without Lil Tunechi?!
