I know many ask, can Wale get any deeper – I’m sure he can. The Album About Nothing is to reach, “the core” as he would call it. After feeling rejected in more ways than one throughout his musical career, the MMG emcee digs into another bag to pull out this upcoming project. During his latest behind-the-scenes piece, The Vlog About Nothing, Wale talks about his purpose for this album. “My release date, it has to be an event,” Wale says. “If this works, then we change the game,” he adds. Wale is doing this for, “the core” of the people that he wants to let know, it’s not about a top five record – there is no chasing charts. Wale had a rough year end, but has decided to begin 2014 with a fresh and positive attitude. The, “Black Grammys” rapper is making things about the music and the fans. The “small stuff,” as Wale calls it, will no longer affect him. The new attitude will be channeled towards his up-coming album, The Album About Nothing, which should drop at the end of the summer, and collaborating with Mariah Carey. He’s busy at work. My Twitter timeline is a buzz about these two collabing. At first, I thought it was a joke so I started looking into if it was factual and it turns out it is! Wale is working with someone who many wouldn’t expect him to work with on his forthcoming album, The Album About Nothing. Wale and DJ Omega reached out to the person who the MMG rapper wants to work with, had them at one of Wale’s show, chilled for a little bit, and then talked about working together. Apparently, this person didn’t really know much about Wale but his wife is a huge fan. Will this help Wale with the sales of his forthcoming album since he will be launching into a new audience?
