(Photo) ‘The New Yorker’ Celebrate Gay Marriage With Bert & Ernie On The Cover!

Many people don’t realize that this past week, we lived through a historic moment when the Supreme Court ruled on gay marriage. To celebrate the occasion, ‘The New Yorker’ thought it would be best to put Bert and Ernie from “Sesame Street” on the cover. Bert and Ernie have been labeled as a gay couple for years now. I personally don’t understand why they have been labeled as gay, but that’s just me. I’m curious to see if “Sesame Street” is going to announce the friends as gay since the show does try to cater to all different situations or add gay characters.  See the cover in the gallery.
