Birdman’s Lawsuit Against TIDAL Dismissed
Last summer, it was reported that Birdman had filed a $50 million lawsuit against TIDAL, claiming they’d illegally released Lil Wayne‘s free album, The Free Weezy Album. Though TIDAL said that Tunechi, who’d signed a deal with the company last June, gave them permission to stream the album – Birdman and Cash Money claimed that they own the rights to Wayne‘s music and that his deal with TIDAL is illegal. Looks like they were bluffing, however.
Jay-Z Suing Former Tidal Owners For $15 Million
Jay-Z believes that the former owners of Tidal, who he purchased the streaming service from in January 2015, misled him about how many actual subscribers they had and is now suing them for $100 million Swedish dollars or $15 mil in the U.S. Hit the jump.
