TIDAL Is Launching A Comedy And Drama Series

TIDAL has now expanded to have it’s own original comedy and drama series. The company recently celebrated their one million subscriber mark and will continue to please their users by adding TV series to their service. Read more below.

The hit web series about Brooklyn’s criminal world, will be back for a new season early next year. Instead of YouTube however, being their original platform that skyrocketed the show, the show will premiere only on Tidal, after show creator and star Moetivation inked a new deal with Jay-Z’s streaming music service. Barclays Center Is Now Home To TIDAL Theater Through New Sponsorship Deal

Just one week after TIDAL’s benefit concert TIDAL X: 1020, an exclusive interview with Billboard reports that the Barclays Center Theater will now be the official concert space for TIDAL. The space previously known as Cushman & Wakefield Theater was renamed today and will carry on being known as the Tidal Theatre. According to reports, “the deal is unique in that it is believed to be the first time a digital content company has come in as a sponsor for a live performance venue.” Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark said,

“As evidenced by [Tidal X: 1020] the other night, Tidal, when they want to, can put on some big time events, and we anticipate having quite a few here at Barclays Center,” Yormark said. “It’s just another strategic alliance that I think helps to advance the content business here at Barclays Center, and we’re very excited about it.”

Tidal X: 10/20 Concert At Barclays Center Sells Out In 10 Minutes!

Well, this is not too much of a surprise to see. After Hov announced that he would be celebrating Tidal’s 1,000,000 subscriber mark, many assumed a concert would be in place in Brooklyn. However, no one–including myself–thought that the line up for the show would be as sick as it is. Alas, tickets went on sale today at noon and as expected, they were gone in a matter of 10 minutes!


TIDAL Celebrates 1 Million Users With TIDAL X:1020 Benefit Concert Featuring Jay Z, Beyonce, Prince & More

Tuesday, Jay-Z announced that his streaming service TIDAL has official gained one million subscribers and hinted at a some kind of Brooklyn celebration for fans. We told you we would keep you posted on any details and finally they are here. Wednesday, TIDAL announced TIDAL X: 1020 a charity concert set up to celebrate the fans. The concert will include performances by Jay-Z, Prince, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Beyoncé, T.I and more. All proceeds from the events will go directly to charity through New World Foundation.TIDAL stated in their announcement, “100% of ticket proceeds will benefit nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing positive community relations and effecting systemic change for the development and sustainability of just societies.” Tickets go on sale today for TIDAL users and will be available to the public later in the week.
