NBA: Tim Duncan Announces His Retirement; #ThankYouTD

Last week I reported that Tim Duncan was strongly leaning towards retirement and today he made it official; the Big Fundamental and future Hall of Famer is officially hanging up his jersey.

NBA Report: Tim Duncan Strongly Leaning Towards Retirement

If Tim Duncan were to retire this offseason quietly among the Kevin Durant hoopla, it would be the most Tim Duncan thing ever.  Very little attention on him, no farewell tour, nothing, just quietly step away…

(Video) NBA: Tim Duncan Addresses His Future Following Tough Loss To OKC

Did we watch Tim Duncan play in his final game last night? If we did we should all consider ourselves lucky we got to witness such a humble superstar at the peak of his game for years, while he solidified his position as the best power forward ever. Duncan really has nothing left to prove to anyone, having already won five NBA championships but sometimes it’s hard to walk away from the game and at least on the surface he appears he isn’t sure what he is going to do yet.

NBA: Tim Duncan Addressed Russell Westbrook’s Pre Game Dance Routine & His Comment May Surprise You

Charlie Villanueva, Justin Anderson and other members of the Mavs had an issue with the way Russell Westbrook dances as part of his pre game routine. Russ has been doing it all season with Cameron Payne but for some reason in the playoffs, the Mavs wanted to act offended and all they got in return was an ass whooping on the court and Charlie getting ethered by Russ & KD during the final post game press conference of the series. As the Thunder prepare for the Spurs next round, Tim Duncan was asked what he thinks about Russ’s moves and he seems to be more realistic than the Mavs players.

(Photo) NBA: Robert Horry Takes Shot At Kobe Bryant With Comparison To Tim Duncan

Robert Horry managed to get himself more championship rings than Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan and a ton of other greats. He has seven rings to brag about, although you can argue he didn’t play much of a role in a couple of them but either way, so what? When you win that many titles that means you played with some great players and he damn sure did. He won rings with Olajuwon, Kobe & Duncan but when it comes to the last two guys, he seems to have a favorite.
