NBA: Danilo Gallinari Still Far From Returning, Could Go Derrick Rose Route

The Denver Nuggets had a pretty rough start but are appearing to get it together.  They’re still without Danilo Galinari and it looks like he won’t be back for quite some time.  Gallinari tore his ACL in April but was expected to have a speedy recovery after it was discovered to only be a partial tear.  Despite the expectations it appears Gallo is nowhere close to ready.


NCAA: UGA Quarterback Aaron Murray To Have Surgery For Torn ACL

Georgia senior quarterback Aaron Murray will have surgery this week to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, the school said Sunday.  Murray injured the knee during Saturday’s 59-17 victory against Kentucky.

NBA: Derrick Rose Sat Out Bulls’ Game With Knee Soreness But Says He Could’ve Played

Bulls fans took a deep breath as Derrick Rose sat out their preseason game against the Wizards in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil after suffering soreness in his surgically repaired knee.  The team made sure to let everyone know it was just a precautionary measure and Rose hadn’t suffered any setbacks.  Rose confirmed that by saying he could’ve played Saturday night by was held out by team’s front office.  Read more after the jump.


NBA: 76ers’ Nerlens Noel Out Through December

The Philadelphia 76ers surprised everyone when they traded away their All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday in order to acquire rookie center Nerlens Noel.  The standout big man suffered a torn ACL during his single season at Kentucky and it was well known that he would be out for quite some time.  Though he is working out and attempting his return, he likely won’t see the court before December  Read more after the jump.

While every Chicago Bulls fan and others around the league are anxiously waiting for Derrick Rose to return this season, one star thinks he shouldn’t.  We’re slowly approaching a year since Derrick Rose went down with a torn ACL during the first round of the NBA playoffs.  Now with the playoffs approaching yet again and the Bulls doing surprisingly well, many are expectant of Rose to come back and help put them over the top.  Every athlete heals differently however so while Ricky Rubio and Iman Shumpert have come back, Rose may not be ready and Wall thinks he should take his time.  Read more after the jump.
