NBA: Lakers to Keep Nick Young After Not Being Able to Find a Trade Partner

The Los Angeles Lakers put Nick Young on the trade block but unfortunately for them, no one bit.  The Lakers shopped Young around, starting at the draft and through free agency, as they tried to reshape their roster.  Young was made available to anyone and everyone but he still remains on the roster and it looks like it’s going to stay that way.

NBA: Report, Deron Williams Seeking Buyout From Nets So He Can Sign With The Mavs!

The Nets wanted out from under the contracts of Joe Johnson and Deron Williams this summer, but D-Will was always going to be the harder to deal. Williams is set to make $43 million over the next two years, which is a lot of money for an erratic 13 points and 6.6 assists per game (his per-game averages last year). So the Nets may just buy him out. Then he would go home and sign with the Dallas Mavericks, which is exactly what it seems he wants to do anyway.

Cavs owner Dan Gilbert just doesn’t care about anything right now besides spending money and building a champion. The Cleveland Cavaliers are considering trading for Brooklyn Nets star Joe Johnson with their Brendan Haywood contract chip.

NBA: Report, Indiana Pacers Trade Roy Hibbert To The Lakers!

I can’t see Kobe Bryant tolerating the sometimes bitchassness of Roy Hibbert but he won’t have much choice after the Pacers just traded the big man to Hollywood.

NBA: Knicks Trade Tim Hardaway Jr To The Hawks For Rookie Point Guard Jerian Grant

Knicks fans didn’t seem too thrilled with the selection of Kristaps Porzingis with the fourth overall pick last night, but the Knicks made another move later in the evening that seemed to calm the death threats to Phil Jackson.

(Photos) NBA: DeMarcus Cousins Says He ‘Absolutely’ Wants to Be With the Kings

Trade talks surrounding DeMarcus Cousins have kicked into high gear the past few days with the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers reportedly actively working towards a deal.  Another report surfaced that Cousins wants to play for the New York Knicks.  Initially it was reported that Cousins had issues with the management of the team but wanted to remain in Sacramento.  New head coach George Karl is reportedly the person that wants Cousins out while Vlade Divac and Vivek Ranadivé seemingly don’t.  A Twitter user tweeted Cousins about the situation and Cousins reiterated that he wants to stay with the Kings.
