Yeah, you read it right, Lesnar is facing no punishment from the WWE for his failed UFC drug tests at UFC 200.
We know that MMA star Jon Jones let hundreds of fans down recently by being disqualified to participate in UFC 200 due to usage of performance enhancing drugs…but now, his brother too?!?
As you know UFC star, Jon “Bones” Jones was banned from fighting in Nevada once again rendering him unable to participate in the much anticipated UFC 200. Today, he decided to respond to fan tweets.
As it’s been reported recently, the UFC has officially been sold for $4 billion, the most expensive transaction for an organization in sports history.
Drug testing for athletic events are usually split into two samples A & B. In this case, A tested positive, so B was available for re-testing. Jones and his manager Malki Kawa apparently requested his “B” sample tested to verify that an illegal substance was in fact present. It was.
As you know by now, the main event of UFC 200, which was to put Jon Jones against Daniel Cormier for the second time, has been cancelled because of a failed drug test on Jones’ part. While they still have not clarified exactly what he has tested positive for, Jones denied using any PED’s and claims to not be sure how he could’ve tested positive for anything. Regardless, in the mean time the fight was put off and Dana White had the task of delivering the bad news to Cormier, who had been training months for this fight.
