The End Of Global Hunger??
The company Nutriset has made a peanut-based paste which could end global hunger. Nutriset’s non-profit partner, Edesia, produces the paste which goes by the name of Plumpy’nut. Plumpy’nut is a package that contains 500 calories and needs no preparation or refrigeration. 1,600 People Killed In Deadliest Week Of Syrian Civil War
At least 1,600 people were killed this past week during what is being recorded as the deadliest week of the Syrian civil war, thus far. The violence in Syria has been due to an 18-month-uprising against the government and there seems to be no let up anytime soon. The government of Bashar al-Assad’s attempts to suppress the uprising and remain in power has let to continuous bloodshed throughout the country leaving 5,000 people dead in the month of August alone.
