Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Six days and a slow start later, Usain Bolt finally won gold at the world championships, running the fourth-fastest 200 meters in history to back up his showmanship with a stunning performance. Bolt was slowest out of the blocks coming off his disqualification for a false start in the 100 final last Sunday that he blamed on “anxiety,” but drove through the bend and powered to the line in 19.40 seconds, just 0.21 seconds of the world record he set to win his first world title two years ago. Usain Bolt Loses 100-Meter Gold After False Start

 Posted by Sabrina B. @gametimegirl Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake won the men’s 100-meter final Sunday at the World Championships in Daegu after defending champion Usain Bolt was sensationally disqualified for a false start. Bolt, the 2008 Olympic gold medalist, seemed to be in imperious form earlier Sunday to qualify for the final in South Korea, where he was the overwhelming favorite, despite countryman Blake setting the day’s quickest qualifying time of 9.95 seconds.


Usain Bolt Easily Wins 100-Meter Opener of the World Championships

Usain Bolt kicked off his world championships like only the golden Jamaican can — with a blazing start that blew all opposition away halfway through his 100-meter heat Saturday.  Many people have been overcritical of Bolt thinking he’ll never pass or even match his past performances, even thinking he was beginning to lag.  I think he’s representing us Jamaicans well.  Read more after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl
