#MusicStillMatters New Music: Drake – Pop Style (New Verse)

We all know by now that Drake tends to give his fans a tease of what to expect in his forthcoming album. Just a few days ago he released “One Dance” and “Pop Style” which includes a verse from Kanye West and what is probably the shortest verse in the history of music by Jay-Z, only lasting an astonishing 6 seconds. Well, today Drake took to OVO Sound Radio to drop a never-before-heard verse. Check it out below!

Drake Announces Release Date For ‘Views From The 6’

Amidst all the anticipation for Drake’s next album, the 6 god has declared to the public the release date for Views From the 6. His fourth solo album will be hitting stores Friday, April 29th. As usual, Drake made his announcement on OVO Sound Radio as well as going on Twitter afterwards and tweeting a simple “4.29”. Let’s wait and see what the Toronto rapper has up his sleeve this time around.

(Photo) Drake Reveals “Views From The 6” Cover On London Building

Saw this one coming…well besides the building part of course. Drake reveals quickly his cover art for “Views From The 6” aside a building in London, before it gets taken down…but you gotta love screenshots. Hit the jump.

(Photo) Is Kid Cudi ALREADY Taking Shots At Drake’s New Music??

Oh Cudi the Kid. Cudi’s at it again (supposedly) with more (supposed) shots at Drake. Back when Drake and Future released “WATTBA”, Cudi was documented in the twittersphere for subliminally dissing Drake saying “Some of you are so easily amused and impressed by mediocrity”. Obvi there’s no Drake mention there but the timing of the project’s release and Cudi’s tweet indicated it was aimed Drizzy’s way. Well Drake just dropped 2 new singles “One Dance” & “Pop Style” featuring Kanye West & Jay-Z, and once again Cudi has impeccable timing. Hit the jump.

(Video + Photo) Are Kendrick Lamar And Drake Back In The Studio Together??

Uh ohh…social media is about to explode. Kendrick was in studio being filmed counting a stack of $2 bills, when days later Drake posted a photo with the 6 sign and the same 2$ bill stack above it. This could mean a lot of things, the most hopeful being new music from the two… hit the jump.

40 Speaks On His Creative Process + Working With Drake

Now that Views From The 6 has definitely been confirmed for April, it’s promo time – which means we’ll be hearing tons from the OVO camp! Recently, Drake’s in-house producer and right-hand man Noah “40” Shebib allowed Native Instruments into their private studio in Toronto, and discussed working with Drake and his creative process. Check out the interview below. There are a ton of gems in there!
