(Photo) Drake Gives An Update On The Status Of ‘Views From The 6’

Earlier this year, Drake said that his highly anticipated album, Views From The 6, would be dropping in April. While this was exciting news to fans, it also was taken with a grain of salt, as release dates are very often pushed back, especially when they’re given months ahead for a project that wasn’t even completed yet. Looks like Drizzy is keeping his word, however! Taking to Instagram late last night, Drake shared another photo of his Views billboard in downtown Toronto, and added a simple caption that means quite a lot:

“APRIL”

The album will be here in a matter of weeks. Are you ready?

Noah ’40’ Shebib Offers Some Insight On Drake’s “Views From The 6”

While fans patiently await the arrival of Drake’s latest project, the Canadian rapper’s long time friend and producer Noah ’40’ Shebib has offered a few hints about what fans can expect from “Views From The 6.” In a recent interview with New York Times 40 spoke about the album saying, “It’s going to be what everybody expects and wants from Drake and from us,” adding, “A lot of introspection, very vivid. He’s discovering new flows, new cadences, new patterns.” While we still don’t have an exact release date for the album, Drake has been teasing fans with a major promotion campaign and not to mention his latest single Summer Sixteen. Drake previously announced the project will drop some time in April. So with just two months left, 40 added, “I’m trying to find ways to pull more untraditional sounds in, to push the boundaries a little further.” Are you ready for “Views from the 6”?

Drake Just Tied With Biggie For Most Number One Single Debuts On Billboard

Drake can’t stop collecting W’s. For his latest, the Toronto ambassador has just joined the history books, tying with the legendary Biggie Smalls as the only artists in the history of Billboard to have more than one song enter at number one in its first week. This happened this past week, as “Work” with Rihanna was sitting at the top spot on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and was then replaced by his new single, “Summer Sixteen.” For Big, this happened in June 1995 with “One More Chance” and “Hypnotize.” Go Drizzy! Can’t wait for Views From The 6 this April!

(Photos) Drake Is Covering Toronto In ‘Views From The 6′ Promo

We are just about two months away from the release of Views From The 6, and Drake wants to make sure that everyone knows it. Just before thousands ascend on his city for All Star Weekend, the hometown hero has covered Toronto with Views promo in all shapes and sizes. The 6‘s main airport, Billy Bishop Airport, first tweeted out pictures of some of the ads, writing “the #6god has landed.” Then Drake himself shared a photo of huge Views billboard, which appears to have been erected in Dundas Square, smack dab in the heart of the city. I get into Toronto tomorrow morning, so I can’t wait to see! VIEWS.
