Vintage Stereon is a brand ran by Kevin Oboh (21), Brandon Morris (20), Hamilton Chattoo (22), Jonathan Desrosiers (20), Julien Flores (21) all from the Westside of South Florida. Today I will be presenting their eye-catching “El Chapo” mesh shorts. The brand started in 2006 and since then has had some good success thus far. The Shorts feature a AK 47 on the front and on the back their is Vintage Stereon in white. The El Chapo mesh shorts are inspired by the Mexican drug lord, Joaquin Guzman. Formally known as “El Chapo”, he was notoriously known for using AK47’s. Brandon Morris (1/3 of the design team) was inspired to do the shorts after researching the Sinaloa Mexican drug cartel. The El Chapo shorts are an extension of their previous Cocaine ’86 shirt, which portrays the glamorous side of cocaine with imagery of 80’s Miami. The danger and all the risks that comes with getting the fame, money and women, El Chapo was the perfect modern day example of this. That’s why they want to keep his story alive so kids just don’t think selling drugs doesn’t come with a price. If you would like to order a pair of the shorts you may from their official website. They will be re-stocking on the shorts in different colors, as of now black is the only color available in the shorts. Hit the jump for more detailed pics of the…
