(Video) Weinstein Company Goes Head-2-Head With Warner Bros. For The Movie Title, “The Butler”

Many are waiting for the release of the movie, The Butler to come out seeing as it’s based on a time period that made history for us all. The Butler stars, Forest Whitaker, Oprah, Cuba Gooding Jr, and many others, so it’s bound to be a smash hit, but it looks like we may have to wait longer than we thought. The maker of the anticipated film, Weinstein Company is going back and forth with Warner Bros., who OWNS the rights to the title, The Butler. Hit the jump for more details.


Ice Cube’s Film Company Being Sued Over “Lottery Ticket”!!

In the past decade Ice Cube has probably put out more movies than singles, it makes sense financially but one of his pictures has apparently been plagiarized. Franklin White, an author, filed the suit against Cube Vision, Warner Bros. Pictures, Alcon Film Fund and Alcon Entertainment in Atlanta federal court. White’s book, “The First Round Lottery Pick” was about a young basketball player who instantly became rich and the problems that arise with it. White claims the film and the book have 44 identical incidents, just missing the basketball component, forcing him to pursue legal action. The lawsuit does not list Ice Cube personally but his company will have to fight this out in court. We will keep you posted on any updates.


Warner Bros Joins Google’s Music Subscription Service

Billboard is reporting that major music label and distrubootur Warner Music Group has joined and signed up with Google’s music subscription service. Also the deal could also affect Google’s division of Youtube. So it looks like Google is ready to take on the big dogs in the music streaming busiess which includes spotify and Pandora.’Warner Music Group has struck a licensing deal with Google for two music services the technology giant is launching later this summer, according to executives familiar with the agreement. Google will offer two distinct subscription services – one through its YouTube online video property and another via its Google Play platform.’

Louis Vuitton Loses Lawsuit Against “Hangover 2”
