Nicki Minaj’s Wax Figure Is Reportedly Set To Be Removed Completely

According to Solange Knowles’ website, Nicki Minaj’s wax figure at Madame Tussaud’s Las Vegas location is set to be removed entirely, after seeing its fair share of controversy. The wax figure was only unveiled a month ago, but due to its suggestive pose featuring Nicki on all fours in a scene depicted from her “Anaconda” video, it inevitably resulted in some very inappropriate photos with fans who came to view the attraction. Though the rapper didn’t appear to be bothered by it, even having shared some of the craziest photos on Instagram, Madame Tussaud’s did not enjoy their statue being made a mockery of, and released a statement announcing they’d be redesigning the structure around her and adding security so as to prevent further incidents. Sadly, even that didn’t work, and now they’re reportedly closing up shop all together. The report provided no further info, such as when they plan to do so or if they will make an entirely new pose, however.

Azealia Banks Criticizes Nicki Minaj Wax Figure

Last week Nicki Minaj was honored by Maddame Tussad’s wax museum with her very own wax figure that paid tribute to her hit song ‘Anaconda.’ Nicki was thrilled by acknowledgement of the museum and called the figure ‘iconic.’ The figure has been loved all around by fans and admirers of the rap queen, except for one, fellow rapper Azealia Banks. This doesn’t come as much of a shock as Banks seems to have criticism for everything and everyone these days. Hit the jump for more.

On this day, August 4th, one year ago, Nicki Minaj dropped her hit single ‘Anaconda’ from her Pink Print Album . Today, one year later, in honor of the song, Madame Tussauds wax museum unveiled their heavily anticipated wax statue of the rapper. The wax figure is modeled after a scene from the ‘Anaconda’ video. Since the museum announced they would be having a Nicki Minaj statue in their Las Vegas location and gave us a sneak peak of what it would look like, people were complaining it didn’t look like Nicki. However, now that it’s finished I think they nailed it. Hit the jump to see more.

(Photos) Madame Tussauds In Las Vegas Debuts Rihanna Wax Figure But…Does It Look That Much Like Her?

Rihanna is no stranger to the Madame Tussauds wax museum, as she already has figures in London, Germany and Washington D.C. Each is modeled after a different video or look that Rih has sported at some time, and they’re pretty spot on. For some reason, the one unveiled in Las Vegas at the Venetian isn’t sitting as right with me. The body is perfect and the hair she has definitely sported, but the nose looks…too wide? She almost reminds me instead of that rapper Rye Rye. Simultaneously, they unveiled a new Rihanna figure in Hollywood as well, and that one looks much better. Maybe it’s just the hair throwing me off in the Vegas one? Check them out in the gallery and let me know if you agree. Marisa Mendez

Tech Talk News: Steve Jobs Wax Figure in Hong Kong

To honor the life of the late great Steve Jobs, A full-size waxwork figure of Steve Jobs is now on display at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong.  At the moment Madame Tussauds will only show the wax in Asia  and no plans for a US display.  Pretty interesting decision by the company.
