(Photos) Lupe Fiasco Opens Up About His Thoughts On White Supremacy

Racial tension in the streets and online has peaked since the tragic events in Charleston, South Carolina. While some artists have already spoken out about the shooting, one emcee in particular decided to go beyond the typical narrative and open up about something that’s not being glorified by the media. Lupe Fiasco revealed his thoughts about white supremacy and claims that it’s not so “supreme” in reality. Find out what he had to say after the jump. Last night (June 20), the Tetsuo & Youth rapper took to to Instagram to express his feelings about the ideology behind the tainted culture of white supremacy. According to Fiasco, white supremacy is really “white regularity” because no color triumphs over another. “First of all you are not really that supreme,” Fiasco said. “There is nothing about you biologically or physically that denotes an innate mode of supremacy. For that matter there is also nothing about you psychologically, philosophically, cognitively, academically, socially, architecturally, culturally or even financially that signifies a higher position above any other group. And to be diplomatic there is nothing about you that denotes innate inferiority as well. So what you really are is something in the middle. You are regular.
