Oh Sh*t! Pharrell Is Doing WHAT To Will.i.Am!? This Is Getting Crazy!

Man! This seems to be getting worse! We reported that Will.i.am was suing Pharrell in a trademark war but now this new war involves Dr. Seuss. Skateboard P is featured on two major hits right now “Get Lucky” & “Blurred Lines” and he also recently launched a YouTube channel called I Am Other. TMZ states, “Pharrell, Will has already sent him a cease and desist letter informing P that he owns the rights to all things with an “I Am” element … and warned Pharrell to back down or else.” Pharrell went straight to court after this, suing Will — in an effort to stop Will from stopping him. Pharrell says Will is using the “I Am” is a Seussian way, so he compares it to Dr. Seuss. “Sam I am, I am Sam, I am Sam, Sam I am” Pharrell continues in his suit, “In contrast, the I Am Other mark means ‘I am something else,’ leaving what that ‘else’ is to the imagination of the consumer. It certainly does not mean ‘I am Will.’” Interesting. No word yet from Will or his people.

Oh Sh*t! Will.i.am Takes Legal Action Against Pharrell’s “i am OTHER” Brand

will.i.am owns the copyright to “I AM” and he’s making that clear by taking legal action against Pharrell’s creative brand, “i am OTHER.” Will.i.am has said nothing about the suit but Pharrell made it clear that he’s pretty bothered by it. “I am disappointed that Will, a fellow artist, would file a case against me,” Pharrell says in a statement to RS. “I am someone who likes to talk things out and, in fact, I attempted to do just that on many occasions. I am surprised in how this is being handled and I am confident that Will’s trademark claims will ultimately be found to be as meritless and ridiculous as I do.” We’ll give you more updates as they come in!
