Wu-Tang Producer Arrested For Sexual Assault Charges

True Master, a long time Wu-Tang producer, was arrested on sexual assault charges on Wednesday, September 14 after somehow escaping police custody they night before. The producer is accused of beating and sexually assaulting a 43-year-old female acquaintance. True Master, whose real name is Derick Harris, is being held on $250,000 bond and being charged with criminal sex act, sex abuse, attempted rape, unlawful imprisonment and marijuana possession. “Liquid Swords” The second single released for the album, released over one year later on October 10, 1995. GZA later commented “Usually I take a beat home and write to it for a few days, but it wasn’t like that with this track. I think RZA played the beat for me and I just spit to it right there. The hook was actually a routine from around ‘84 that me RZA and Ol’ Dirty would do: ‘When the emcees came, to live out the name.’ Just like that. Method Man” is the B-side to the single “Protect Ya Neck” from critically acclaimed debut album by the Wu-Tang Clan titled Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). It was a solo track for the first successful solo star of the Wu-Tang Clan, Method Man. The song was chosen for The Source magazine 100 best rap singles. The refrain of the song (M-E-T-H-O-D) draws from the 1984 Hall & Oates hit “Method of Modern Love” from Big Bam Boom. It is featured on The RZA Hits compilation.
