(TB) – After spending over a month and a half in an Ohio jail for assaulting a police officer, it looks like troubled rapper Charles Hamilton has finally been released.

The former Interscope-signee was arrested in Cleveland, Ohio on Dec. 10, for disturbing the peace. When police attempted to subdue him, he allegedly struck one of the arresting officers in the face, and was summarily charged with two counts of assault and resisting arrest. His bail was set at $25,000.

According to reports, Hamilton was finally bailed out on Wednesday, Jan. 26., but he will still face a mental health evaluation. His case summary states that he was refered to a psych clinic on Jan. 4, and must still undergo “MNTL TREATMNT UNTIL CMP.”

This is not the first time Hamilton has undergone psychological evaluation. The ‘Sonic’ rapper previously admitted himself into New York Presbyterian Mental Hospital last summer to get his “mind right.”

“All I wanted to do and still want to do is make music,” he explained. “It got to the point where I started talking in rhymes all the time, even in just regular conversations. And music just became me, so I thought it’d be a good idea if I checked into the hospital just to get my mind right.”

We hope he finds his peace of mind.
