An apparent fight between two taxi drivers over a fare led to one of the drivers being murdered, according to police. Continue reading after the jump.

It happened about 9:30 p.m. on Thursday night in Franklin Square in Nassau County.
Detectives identified the victim as William Mena, 32, a married father with two children from Maspeth.
Christopher Heron, 35, of Jamaica, Queens, was arrested in connection with the death. Detectives say Mena and Heron were drivers for Ollie’s
Taxi in Franklin Square. The men were involved in some sort of altercation over picking up a fare and the victim was stabbed in the torso. Police found him lying unresponsive in the parking lot behind 925 Hempstead Turnpike. AMTs were not able to save him and he died early Friday morning.
Heron is being charged with second degree murder and was to be arraigned on Saturday in Hempstead.
