Just two days after “The View” co-host Joy Behar tied the knot with her longtime love, another ‘View” co-host has taken the plunge! Sherri Shepherd married her fiancé, TV writer Lamar Sally, at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago on Saturday, People reports. Continue reading after the jump.

The talk show personality and ”30 Rock” actress had eight bridesmaids, including her fellow “View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Niecy Nash and Yvette Nicole Brown (of “Community” fame), according to the mag, and was escorted down the aisle by her 6-year-old son, Jeffrey.
The bride, 44, kept her Twitter followers up to speed in the moments leading up to the ceremony, tweeting, “Sitting in the room in my gown waiting for Sal& groomsmen to take their pics… Can’t let him see me b4 the wedding… but I’m bored as heck.”

“What happens when you are in your wedding dress and you have to tinkle?” she later added. “Uh-oh!”

“Upon arriving back to Lamar’s home in Los Angeles from a trip to San Diego, Sherri was surprised to find their accommodations had been decorated with lights by one of Sal’s best friends, her dog was wearing a Santa beard and hat, and, in the middle of a dish of Sherri’s favorite, but forbidden, M&M’s (she is diabetic), was a tiny little box,” Sherri’s rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood at the time.

Sally asked Shepherd’s son first before proposing to his ladylove of more than a year — he also sweetened the deal by giving Jeffrey a Michael Jackson Wii game, the rep said.
Shepherd and Sally’s big day will air as a special on the Style network on Sept. 13.
