The last time T.I. had a reality show, it was showing all the good he was doing in an effort to prove to the judges he doesn’t need jail time and that didn’t really work out, clearly. The show was awesome though! This time around, Tip and VH1 will work together to document his readjustment to the world following his latest prison bid. Details after the jump.

The half-hour, 10-episode series premieres December 5 at 10 p.m. Viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the King of the South’s most private and personal moments as he is reunited with his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and kids.

In addition to his career as a rapper, actor, and businessman, there will be candid moments of him as a father, husband, son, and friend. Cameras will follow Tip as he returns to the studio to record his next album, while abiding by a new set of restrictions stemming from his probation. Will the King be able to maintain his kingdom under a new set of laws?

“Viewers have always connected with T.I. and we are definitely thrilled to show the next chapter of this incredible artist’s riveting life with this new series,” said Jeff Olde, EVP, Original Programming and Production VH1. “T.I is such a multi-talented artist and actor, and though he has had some setbacks, there is no doubt he will use his considerable talents to get back on top of both the music and film business.”
