As reported on BGR, RIM has stopped the production of the Blackberry Playbook, the tablet that may have been doomed from the beginning!! As you know RIM hasn’t even been moving their Blackberry’s as wanted but the playbook has pretty much just been sitting in stores, mostly due to the price, but also because people didn’t like the connectivity of it, actually needing a Blackberry for certain functions, if the Blackberry isn’t moving and you need that to work some of the tablet, why would you want the tablet?? Apparently RIM shipped 700k Playbook’s and it seems as though they sold a little more than 500k units, which means there are close to 200k units waiting to be out of where they are now and into your hands, now I know you may not care either way, and since the playbook went to $250, you still didn’t seem to care, but with no more production, RIM will be looking to get rid of that inventory, to balance the – & + sheets, they may go HP TouchPad fire sale style, but since the Playbook is of even less interest than the TouchPad, they could go as low as $50, now tell me you wouldn’t pick up almost any piece of tech for $50??? Let’s wait and see, but if that happens, I’m gonna need some credit on the Prediction!!!!
