Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver Brandon Marshall says New York Jets All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis gets the Michael Jordan treatment from NFL officials.  Read more after the jump.

I think they gave him the ‘Jordan Rule’. Michael Jordan, you get a little close to Michael Jordan they are going to call a foul, it works that way in football,” Marshall said. “Some guys you know they are scared to throw the flag on and he may be getting that rule.”

Marshall, a two-time Pro Bowler himself, caught six passes for 109 yards the last time the two teams played — mostly while being hounded by Revis. The Jets’ cornerback, though, had two interceptions and returned one for a touchdown as New York won, 24-6.

New York Giants fans might agree with Marshall after watching Revis wreak havoc on their passing attack last Saturday during the Giants’ 29-14 victory. The Giants threw at Revis eight times, completing two passes. The two-time All-Pro knocked away five passes, leaving Giants’s fans howling that he was draped all over Giants’ receivers on several of those passes defensed.

Jets coach Rex Ryan said only that “He’s trying to put it in the officials’ mind… If anything, it’s pretty physical.”

The Jets travel to Miami to play the Dolphins on Sunday. New York must win and then hope for help if they are to reach the playoffs.
