A study done by App promo suggests that 60% of the developers dont break even on the apps that they develop for download for Apple’s app store. While Apple boosts about its millions of apps available in it’s app store, im sure somewhere down the line some of lesser known apps dont get the same shine as the big players like Angry Birds and Infinity Blade.

According to the study 12% of the apps earn somewhere around $50,000 and up, which is a pretty low number when iOS devices are centered around the development of apps or having apps on the device. Will this study turn off developers to stop building apps for iOS based devices in the future,  probably not due  to Apple’s popularity.  Check out App Promo’s infographic below for more data on iOS app success and failure rate on apps.
