Luka Magnotta, a Canadian porn actor suspected of killing, dismembering and eating a Montreal student, apparently had an affinity for Russian hockey players.

Magnotta in particular was a fan of Sergei Fedorov; he made a YouTube tribute to the longtime NHL center who recently retired after three seasons in Russia’s KHL. The nearly 4-minute-long video shows highlights of Fedorov’s career and is set to music.

Magnotta also was a regular poster on the hockey forum HFBoards; one of his submissions was a Top 5 list of Russian players made in 2010. Magnotta’s rankings: Alexander Ovechkin, Pavel Datsyuk, Evgeni Malkin, Ilya Kovalchuk and Alexander Semin.

Police in Berlin arrested Magnotta on Monday. Magnotta told German authorities he would not fight extradition to Canada.

Magnotta allegedly killed Chinese student Jun Lin in his Montreal apartment and recorded the slaying. Police believe Magnotta also mailed parts of Lin’s body to various places in Canada, including to multiple political party headquarters.

Police in Vancouver are also investigating the delivery of a hand and a foot to two schools in the province on Tuesday. It is not known whether the parts are those of Lin.
