Jose Bautista, Prince Fielder and Mark Trumbo will join Robinson Cano on the American League side for the All-Star Home Run Derby.

Cano, the AL captain and reigning derby champion, announced his selections Monday, a day after rosters were announced for the All-Star Game July 10 in Kansas City.

Despite a slow start this season, Bautista leads the majors with 26 home runs, including aToronto Blue Jays-record 14 in the month of June.

Bautista, who has 123 homers since the start of the 2010 season, also participated in the derby last year. The slugger struggled after the 2011 All-Star break, hitting just 12 homers over his final 65 games.

Fielder has 12 homers this season, his first with the Detroit Tigers. The four-time All-Star belted 200 homers over his previous five seasons with Milwaukee.

Trumbo, a first-time All-Star, has 20 homers this season for Anaheim.

Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp said Sunday he invited Carlos Beltran, Carlos Gonzalez and Giancarlo Stanton to join him on the NL side. Kemp is on the disabled list because of a strained left hamstring. He is unlikely to play in the game, but is the NL captain for the derby and wants to take part.
