The teenager met 30-year-old Keith “Keyoko” Sumlin through a mobile phone app and then invited him to his home, where they had sex, according to the arrest affidavit.

Afterward, the minor mentioned his involvement to a friend, who had also been intimately involved with Sumlin and then contracted the AIDS-causing virus.

The teenager’s mother took him to Memorial Regional Hospital, where tests confirmed him to be HIV-positive. The mother called police.

Sumlin reportedly told police he had sex with the victim and knew that he was underage, but claimed to use a condom.

However, according to the affidavit, Sumlin allegedly made a post on a social networking site that referenced having sex with the “little boy” and added, “I don’t use condoms when I have sex and you can call me sick, don’t worry about me, worry about who gave it to them.”

The seven charges against Sumlin includ lewd and lascivious molestation and attempted second-degree murder, according to jail records.
