Unpublished early color photographs of The Beatles’ first U.S. tour will be sold at a U.K. auction. The photos were taken during the rock band’s 1964 visit to the U.S., when color film was expensive and most images of the group were in black and white.Omega Auctions said the images will be sold March 22, exactly 50 years after The Beatles released their first album.

Omega Auctions comment about rare colour photos of the Beatles 1964 US tour are a worry. Thats because this particular photo above is most likely taken in Australia in June 1964 in winter hense the heavy coats – I have the full photo and they are coming off a Qantas Boeing 707 named “City of Canberra” onto a Qantas galley. Ringo has had tonsillitis so the flowers. There are two possible secenarios here. 1. Its Brisbane – They were headed home and then flew to Sydney where they are coming off the plane briefly as it refuelled before flying to Singapore then London. 2. Sydney. I think this is a News Ltd. Australia photo someone has cropped to erase the evidence. Which is theft if its being sold
