Google has been working to help fight human trafficking, the narcotics trade and weapons smuggling. These illegal activities bring in over $2.1 trillion in profits every year. Last year Google decided that it would help in the fight in taking down human trafficking. Google created a Global Human Trafficking Hotline Network, an international collaboration between nonprofits that will enable better coordination and victim protection across borders, a project funded by Google’s Global Impact Awards.
