The biscuit buttering chef herself is under the HOT spotlight – AGAIN! May 17th Paula Deen was involved in a deposition with former General Manager, Lisa Jackson of her Savannah, Georgia restaurant. Jackson claims the use of the N-word by Paula and sexual harassment and infliction of distress and assault by her brother Bubba Hiers. The deposition was caught on camera, and Deen admits to using the vulgar words. Hit the jump for the details.

Don’t forget to check out the gallery! Yes, Deen said IT!

It’s being said that Paula wanted hired black waiters to dress-up as slaves for an event that she was planning, so I’m pretty sure that would constitute as a racist.

“When asked if she wanted black men to play the role of slaves at a wedding she explained she got the idea from a restaurant her husband and her had dined at saying, “The whole entire waiter staff was middle-aged black men, and they had on beautiful white jackets with a black bow tie.
“I mean, it was really impressive. That restaurant represented a certain era in America…after the Civil War, during the Civil War, before the Civil War…It was not only black men, it was black women…I would say they were slaves.”

As far as saying the n-word – yes, with an ER on the end – Deen admits to saying it in a joking manner. “It’s just what they are — they’re jokes…most jokes are about Jewish people, rednecks, black folks…I can’t determine what offends another person.”

This scandal has the potential to ruin her career! I however, have a question…Why is it that some blacks can give a red-neck joke and be laughed at, but when the roles are reversed things get real? I mean, are out rights different? Wasn’t the issue way back when about equality? Comments below are welcomed.
