“We came around Silver Creek looking for the lot and my wife said, David… I think the house is gone.” Said David Underwood. The site that had been wrecked had been in his family for generations. And the only thing that remains is a clean slab. Now, the city of Fort Worth, Texas, is investigating how demolition crews were capable of making a mistake as detrimental as this.
To add insult to injury, the house that was originally supposed to be torn down was next to Underwood’s. And even as demolition crews began to work, the neighbor alerted them that it was the wrong house.
How will the city clean this up?
