IFWT_ COP CAR

Ford and InterMotive Inc are now putting cameras in the back of police cars letting officers know when pedestrians are approaching from behind and will in turn put the vehicle in lockdown! When activated in a parked patrol car the system turns on the rear-mounted camera and back up sensors that usually only come on when the car is in reverse. Officers are equipped with a screen in the rear view mirror showing them video footage of whatever is going on behind the vehicle. If the proximity of the senors detect someone approaching from behind the car automatically sounds an alert and locks the door and closes the windows. The system can be disabled if the car is parked in an area with high pedestrian traffic. Hit the jump to see what it looks like ..
