This whole story about AROD just got juicy, lol. It already has been full of some gossip, some facts, and some entertaining moments. But if this news about him and his camp snitching on other players is true, oh man, he might as well say forget this and retire now, because no player or teammate or fan would ever respect him again. A story is breaking early this morning that Alex Rodriguez and his “camp” are actually the ones responsible for Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun being suspended, as well as one of his own Yankees teammates, Francisco Cervelli. Here is how the story is unfolding. The news show “60 Minutes” has found evidence that the Miami New Times newspaper had received some information regarding that Ryan Braun and Francisco Cervelli could possibly be implicated in the Biogenesis clinic drama that is surrounding AROD now. Because at the time there was not much more proof or evidence, the newspaper did the right thing and ran the story without names of the players. HOWEVER, according to 60 Minutes, members of AROD’s camp, obtained that same information, and purposely leaked them to Yahoo sports, which eventually led to Braun and Cervelli being put on front street in the media and eventually suspended. All this was done supposedly in an effort to remove some attention off Rodriguez! That is so foul! Especially since one of his own Yankees teammates was someone they snitched on.
Now, 60 Minutes has been very careful not to say AROD knew his camp was up to this, but there is no way I believe for one second that he was not aware of what they were doing. Braun deserved to be suspended regardless, so nobody is going to think of him as a victim after he lied for almost 2 years, but the fact that he and Cervelli are suspended, while Rodriguez is currently playing is so wrong. However, this new information could really hurt AROD’s chances of his appeal, because it would show him and his camp purposely tried to interfere with an investigation being done by Major League Baseball. If you were his teammate and this is true, could you ever look him in the face again? Hell No! I am sure this is not the last we will hear about this.
