In Al Sharpton’s recent interview with Huffington Post he decided to give Bill O’Reilly a little advice, in telling him to ” man up and grow up”. Tensions grew amongst the two when Al Sharpton accused O’Reilly of “attacking the poor” for his criticism on the food stamps programs. O’Reilly responded in his defense of “attacking the poor” by exposing that he had once donated 25,000 to one of Sharpton’s charities in Harlem. Sharpton responded in the interview held Friday:

“I think it is really shows exactly what I’ve been saying all along,” Sharpton said on Friday. “When Mr. O’Reilly started attacking me after my question of the Zimmerman verdict, he started talking about the grievance industry and that i was a racial huckster, never telling people he knew better and that he was a contributor of mine… If I was huckster, why would he contribute to me?”

Sharpton also continued to state that not only did O’Reilly contribute to his charity but also spoke at a conference for the National Action Network, that was held by Rev. Sharpton. Sharpton finished by giving O’Reilly a lesson in adult hood:

“[O’Reilly] needs to man up and grow up because he needs to understand that just because you make a donation does not mean that people cannot disagree.”
