The Hallucinogen LSD has recently gained notoriety when it was revealed that numerous celebrities were avid fans and users. One of the most notable, of course, is Steve Jobs. As if the list of famous people weren’t enough to change curiosity to experience. But don’t get me wrong, JUST SAY NO… only after you hit the jump.

The Norwegian researchers that are responsible for these findings conducted an extensive survey on thousands of Americans regarding the effects of LSD. In the study, Pal-Orjan Johansen and Teri Krebs from Norway’s University of Science and Technology in Trondheim monitored the drug taking habits of more than 130,000 American citizens during a 3 year period. Based on the study, the pair even went as far as to suggest LSD as a cure for alcoholism.

They also went on to say [that] “There were no significant associations between lifetime use of any psychedelics, or use of LSD in the past year, and an increased rate of mental health problems. Rather, in several cases psychedelic use was associated with a lower rate of mental health problems. … the idea that the drugs caused mental health problems came from a small number of case studies, and that these patients were already suffering some form of mental illness.”

So with the thought of marijuana being legal spreading and in addition to this study, it’s only a matter of time before every day becomes Woodstock.
