Who better than a life long Mets fan to help call the Mets game tonight?!  Yep, comedian Jerry Seinfeld will be in the booth for the entire game against the San Francisco Giants (beginning with the 6p pregame show). Details after the jump…

Via FoxSports:

Jerry Seinfeld will join the broadcast crew Tuesday for the New York Mets, a team that is 15 games below .500 and with little to laugh about this season.

The comic is a longtime fan of the team. He will appear on the pregame show and then join Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling for the call of the game against the San Francisco Giants.

Seinfeld also broadcast a game between the Mets and Detroit on June 23, 2010.

Another comedian, Bill Maher, bought a minority ownership stake in the Mets last year.
