“All Gold Everything” rapper Trinidad James recently got himself into some drama after he went on a rant saying Atlanta is running New York City. In a short period of time, he was able to piss off New York rappers such as Maino and Troy Ave. Well, James chopped it up with Sharon Carpenter of REVOLT to defend his harsh fighting words against NYC. Hear what James’ had to say in his defense about his out-of-control rant below!
Hello nyc most of the music playing on nyc radio stations are from the south however he should know better about what he say could offend people and do this rapper know the money from his album sales could and himself be taken away from him? Once youre in the rap game you will go back to the same lifestyle you once was before the fame. Hello ? Someone talk to your boy
Don’t cop out now bitch maino gone take ass to the dentist you cross the line now that’s yo ass, don’t think cuz N.Y. Niggaz is on there grind that shit is sweet, man up pussy….
Y’S everybody so mad at the south for? It aint been the same since Hatian Jack, the Rap Patrol (Hatian Jack), and that Snoop video. Any real hip hop lover or artist knows where it hip hop originated and respects the skill, style, and culture but the South IS music right now. And that aint stupid or bama because all reall music was invented in the South. NY needs to stand up, overcome, and adapt. They not hot cause they not giving the people what they want. They need Wu Tang back.
Its nuthin against the south but they don’t run NY musically..the people who make their stuff hot up here are little grammar school and high school kids that knows nuthin about hip hop and they just go with the latest catchy strip club song that they can jump up and down too…that’s why the same 4 or 5 country songs get played on the radio all fuckin day…kids are requesting this shit and its about ratings..down south artists move their music differently…you’ll have a nobody ass rapper down south that put together a catchy song wit a strip club beat to it and the dj’s will bump dat shit all night in da club because of how they support their artists…its harder to get that kinda breakthru up here…its no longer about wats authentic anymore, its wats gona make these kids buy liquor and jump up n down like they crazy…people not riding around listening to Trinidad James and Future all day..they’re judging they’re success up here by wat the radio does and just like he said…wateva the radio does everybody follow suit…but I blame the dj’s too cause they also have influence and they should push those guy’s music from home the same way they do those south artists…they showed them too much love and push their shit so much, now they cocky…they feel like they can do all kinds of shit….this is wat happens when yall be nice n flood the airwaves wit all of that garbage everyday…then you gona have lil one hit wonders come up here n do this shit every time….I wouldn’t be surprised if Soulja Boy tried it next!
The thing is- what you said is EXACTLY what he was saying. He wasnt tryna diss NY. Its just like that Kendrick Lamar sht. The only people mad are also the ones putting out garbage music that does NOT meet the standards of the Apple as far as Im concerned. The mad emotions is for losers. If the word is meant from a good place take it for what its worth. Make a difference. Who aint sick of bs but its a different sound feel and generation. At one point rap altogether was considered bs. At the end of the day no one should cry about what people Buy or how fd up radio stations are. The world is fd up. At the end of the day everybody is waiting for some NY’s response to reality. The mad rapper bit is a rerun.
