New Orleans will be getting a special treat when the BUKU Music And Art Project hits! Nas & DJ Premier have announced that they will be performing the ‘Illmatic’ classic completely during the festival; hit the jump for more!
The performance we’ve all been waiting for, will take place at the annual BUKU Music And Art Project, March 21-22, as Nas and Dj Premier have announced, that they will be performing ‘Illmatic’ in its entirety, in honor of the classic’s 20th anniversary.
Other Hip hop acts taking over the festival include: Chance The Rapper, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Tyler The Creator, Pusha T, Schoolboy Q, and Danny Brown.
I’m hoping the nostalgic moment brings in fruition the possibility of an ‘Illmatic 2’!
