It’s a sad that we’re dealing with this kind of situation in 2014, but I agree with LeBron and other NBA players on this one.  At the end of April, the NBA announced that Donald Sterling was banned from the league and he would be forced to sell the team.   Well yesterday in an interview with Barbara Walters, his estranged wife Shelly said that she plans to fight for control of the Clippers.  Sorry Shelly, no one wants that either.  Hit the jump to see what LeBron had to say…

…LeBron said Sunday that NBA players believe nobody in Sterling’s family should be able to own the Los Angeles Clippers if he’s gone.

“As players, we want what’s right and we don’t feel like no one in his family should be able to own the team,” James said after the Miami Heat practiced for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against Brooklyn.

James said he understands that there is unlikely to be a quick resolution to the matter.

“At the end of the day, this is going to be a long litigation when it comes to that,” James said. “This guy who’s owned the team since the ’80s is not going to just give the team up in a day. So we understand it’s going to be long, but we want what’s right.”
