Last week, Mary Steenburgen announced via Twitter that she will be joining the cast of OITNB’s third season. She didn’t reveal what character she will be playing, but TV Line has learned of her role for the season.
In a tweet from June 12, which has since been deleted, the actress wrote, “Very excited to go to my first wardrobe fitting of OITNB! Will I be in orange or black?:)”
Her role is no longer a mystery, as TV Line reports that Steenbergen will play no other than Mendez, a.k.a. Pornstache’s mom!
If her role in “Step Brother’s” as Will Ferrell’s mom is any indication of what she can bring to this new role, Steenburgen is perfect! Pornstache is going to need all the help and support he can get this upcoming season considering the mess he is currently in. As a fan, it will be great to see Pornstache’s back story.
