The remains of three bodies were found by students/volunteers from Baylor University, as well as University Of Indianapolis led by Archeologists Lori Baker and Krista Latham. The group uncovered bones, in trash bags, shopping bags, body bags as well as without any coverage, overall since summer 2013, 110 bodies have been recovered.

Officials have arranged for the bodies found in The Sacred Heart Burial Park in Falfurrias, South Texas, to be properly buried through the funeral named after the cemetery; Funeraria del Angel Howard-Williams. Officials are investigating whether there where proper documents on the deceased, and have questions on the way the dead bodies were uncovered, many found stuck together due to the amount of dead corpses stuffed in a burial.

More than 300 people died crossing through Brooks County alone between 2011 to 2013 — representing more than 50 percent of the deaths in Texas’ sprawling Rio Grande Valley.
