“He took all my beats,” claimed Flying Lotus in a recent interview. It was said when he was asked about his very own Captain Murphy album (FlyLo’s rapping alter ego) — which was put on hold. FlyLo explained by saying, “We’ve been working on stuff together. I went on tour and he recorded to a bunch of my songs. I don’t know if he’s gonna use them or not, but he recorded a bunch of stuff, which is why there’s no Captain Murphy album out yet.” Read more after the jump.

The LA producer then stated in his interview with Pitchfork via REVOLT, “At this point, I don’t even know! But he took, like, 12, 13 of my tracks, man,” he continued. “I think he recorded all of them, too. I just don’t know if they’re ever gonna see the light of day.”

With these responses, it was apparent that quotes could be misrepresented regarding FlyLo’s thoughts and intentions, but knowingly, he went to Twitter to clear the air. See his tweet in the GALLERY
