Users were asked online to list the books that were the most influential to them. The study asked the users to not take more than a few minutes and not think too hard but to list the books that have affected them in some way. Two researchers analyzed 130,000 answers and said that “Harry Potter” was the most influential book in the world.

The average age of the people who participated in the study was 37, which means that the user would have been 20 when the first “Harry Potter” book released. Top six of the books the users chose was 1. The “Harry Potter” Series, 2. “To Kill a Mockingbird,” 3. “The Lord of the Rings,” 4. “The Hobbit,” 5. “Pride and Prejudice,” and 6. “The Holy Bible.”
