Andy Cohen finally talked about Porsha Williams’ demotion as a main cast member of the show on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Porsha will only be seen in a recurring role on the show and not full-time. The Real Housewives of Atlanta will be in its 7th season. Many assumed that Porsha was demoted because of a physical altercation she had during a reunion tapping with her cast mate Kenya Moore on the previous season, but Andy Cohen denied those allegations. Cohen says, “It had nothing to do with anything that happened at the reunion last season…really, it was about the amount of story we got from Porsha this season.”

He goes on to say, “We went into it assuming she would be a full housewife, holding a peach…we just haven’t gotten enough to merit that. She’s going to be in it a lot. We love her. I hope she’ll be on Bravo endlessly.” Porsha released a statement saying, “After a long season of filming and giving my all, I was blindsided by the announcement from the network that I was demoted from ‘Housewife Status…unfortunately, I can only be PORSHA, and portraying anything else would not be genuine nor honest. This is the beginning of a new chapter in my life, and I will be giving my fans & supporters another chance to watch my growth as I take on the world in my own special way very soon! Stay tuned.”

NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, and new cast members Claudia Jordan and Demetria McKinney will be on the new season which premiers on Sunday, November 9th on Bravo.
